Plantation Service: “How's the lighting? Do you want a little bit more light out there?”

Lokal-Kolorit: hawaiianische Musik in der Cottage im CD Player. Abends haben die Hosts Brownies und Mango Saft bereitgestellt. Frische Hawaiian Hibiscus Blüten dekorieren die Szenerie.

Wunderwelt unter Wasser
Kealakekua Bay / Capt. Cook Monument

In Memory of
the great circumnavigator
Captain James Cook, R.N.
who discovered these islands on the 18th of
January, 1778, and fell near this spot on
the 14th of February, 1779.

Anfahrt:

From Route 11 turn onto Napoopoo Road. Reset your odometer and go 1.1 (one and 1/10th) miles. Shortly after that, the road will curve to the left, and then back to the right. We're on the left hand side. At the drive right before ours on the left there is a white sign w/ black letters, 82-6000. (This is not us!) We're the next drive on the left. There's a yellow, oval sign just AFTER the drive that says “Ka'awa Loa Guesthouse”. There's also a blue reflector on a large stone at the entrance to our drive that is pretty visible at night. We're 82-5990 Napoopoo. Turn up the steep paved drive and follow it until it curves to the left. Where the road forks, stay to the left & proceed to the big plantation style home
